Ingredients

  • 2 cups
    whole milk, divided (500 mL)
  • 3 tbsps
    cornstarch (45 mL)
  • 1/2 cup
    granulated sugar (125 mL)
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt (2 mL)
  • 2 tbsps
    unsalted butter (30 mL)
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla extract (5 mL)
  • 1 tsp
    blue food colouring (5 mL)
  • 6
    gummy candy rings
  • 6
    bear-shaped crackers

Directions

Equipment Needed
bowl Bowl
saucepan Saucepan
fine mesh sieve Fine-Mesh Sieve
1

Whisk together 1/2 cup (125 mL) milk and cornstarch in small bowl.

2

Transfer remaining milk, sugar and salt to medium saucepan set over medium heat. Cook, stirring occasionally, just until mixture begins to simmer.

3

Whisk cornstarch mixture into saucepan. Cook, stirring often, until mixture just begins to thicken and simmer. Reduce heat to low. Cook, stirring constantly, until mixture is thickened and coats back of spoon, about 5 to 8 minutes.

4

Remove pudding from heat. Stir in HERSHEY’S CHIPITS White Creme Chips butter and vanilla until smooth and melted.

5

Strain pudding through fine-mesh sieve into clean bowl. Stir in blue food colouring. Divide among 6 clear cups. Cover surface of pudding with plastic wrap. Refrigerate for 2 to 3 hours or until completely chilled and set.

6

Arrange gummy rings on pudding cups to look like pool inner tubes, then top rings with bear-shaped crackers to resemble a pool party.

Variation:

For beach-themed party cups, add crushed graham wafer crumbs to resemble sand.
