BAKE MODE:
Prevent your screen from going dark while you bake.
Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
Melt butter in large skillet set over medium heat. Add apples and cook, stirring occasionally, for 3 to 5 minutes or until just starting to soften (slices should be soft and malleable in order to shape into a rose). Let cool completely.
Place puff pastry on lightly floured work surface. Cut into 8 rounds using 3 1/2-inch (9 cm) round cookie cutter. Fit each round into a standard muffin cup. Freeze for 10 minutes.
Substitute puff pastry with refrigerator pie pastry if preferred.
Arrange apple slices upright in pastry shells in concentric circles, starting from the outside of the shell and working toward the centre, with skin-side up and overlapping slightly (the overall effect should resemble the petals of a rose).
Stir together HERSHEY’S caramel syrup and cinnamon in small bowl. Brush over apple slices.
Bake for 18 to 20 minutes or until pastry is golden brown and apples are tender.
Heat cream in small saucepan set over medium heat until just starting to simmer. Remove from heat and stir in HERSHEY’S CHIPITS Cream Cheese Flavoured Chips. Let stand for 1 minute. Stir until chips are smooth and melted. Pour mixture evenly over apple roses.
Serve warm or at room temperature. Garnish with edible flower petals.
